Accountant (CA Inter)

Job Title: Accountant (CA Inter)

• Maintain accurate books of accounts (ledgers, journals, etc.).
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support in finalization of accounts (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

2. Statutory Compliance:

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, annual returns).
• Manage TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing
• Assist in statutory and internal audits.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Oversee vendor payments and customer receipts.
• Perform aging analysis and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, and related documents.

• Monitor day-to-day inventory transactions and ensure accuracy in recording.
• Coordinate with stores/warehouse for periodic stock counts (cycle counts, physical verifications).
• Reconcile physical inventory with system reports and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing.
• Work with procurement and operations teams for inventory planning and control.
• Track slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and recommend actions.

5. Inventory Valuation:

• Ensure correct valuation of inventory (FIFO, Weighted Average, etc.) as per applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS/GAAP).
• Maintain records for raw materials, WIP (Work in Progress), and FG (Finished Goods).
• Prepare monthly inventory valuation reports.
• Calculate and book inventory provisions/write-offs when required.
• Coordinate with costing team for BOM and standard costing updates.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation (GST, TDS)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally/ERP)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in a mid to large-sized company or CA firm
• Exposure to audit handling and financial finalization
• Familiarity with e-invoicing, GST reconciliation, and IT assessments
