Description
As an Internet and Mass-Scale Infrastructure (I&MI) Account Executive at Cisco, your role is crucial in developing strong relationships with Sales Leaders, Account Managers, and Engineers to ensure alignment of sales strategies for I&MI technology and overall Cisco business within customer environments. You will collaborate with various resources, including I&MI business units, marketing, and Cisco partners, to drive technology growth in your assigned territory. Your impact will involve driving sales of optics, service provider routing, optical, and automation solutions to customers building large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) networks and infrastructure. Establishing strong relationships with key customers, including executives, will be essential to understand their business drivers, influence tactical and strategic plans, and demonstrate how Cisco can address challenges and support their objectives. Leading new and emerging customers through significant architecture transitions to enable AI service offerings will be part of your accountability. Collaborating with Cisco team members and partners to capture and accelerate new franchises will also be a key aspect of your role. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive business plan to exceed your goals, requiring in-depth knowledge of Cisco optics, optical, and routing offerings. Understanding competitors" solutions in these areas will be critical. Additionally, familiarity with the evolving data center environment, including Ethernet and Infiniband, will be necessary for success. Your proven track record in creating new sales strategies, acquiring new accounts, and forging strong relationships, along with your skills in opportunity discovery, forecasting, presentation, and opportunity management, will be invaluable. Effective verbal and written communication skills, time management, multitasking abilities, and generating product demand at scale are also essential competencies. Minimum Qualifications include a minimum of 7 years of sales experience in a fast-paced, high-technology setting. Proficiency and experience in optics, optical networking, routing technologies, AI networking, and automation and assurance solutions are required. Preferred Qualifications encompass business planning skills, an autonomous work ethic, the ability to work effectively in a large, matrixed organization, and a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
