What will you get to do

• Receive and log in patient samples accurately and promptly, ensuring the proper identification and labeling of each sample container.
• Enter relevant patient and sample information into the laboratory information system (LIS) or laboratory management system (LMS) with precision and
• Monitor the movement of samples within the laboratory, from accessioning to testing, to ensure samples are appropriately routed and accounted for at each stage.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality control procedures, following standard operating protocols to minimize errors and maintain accuracy in sample accessioning.
• Record and maintain detailed records of sample accessioning activities, including any deviations or discrepancies encountered during the process.
• Monitor and manage the inventory of sample collection materials, ensuring an adequate supply of necessary items to facilitate smooth accessioning.
• Properly handle and store samples, following established guidelines and protocols to ensure the integrity and stability of the samples during storage and transportation.
• Adhere to all relevant regulatory guidelines and company policies related to the handling and processing of patient samples, maintaining compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory personnel, clinicians, and support staff to facilitate seamless communication and efficient workflow.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in sample accessioning.

Skills we are looking for

• Bachelors degree in Medical Lab Technology, DMLT,Bsc MLT.
• Proven experience in sample accessioning, laboratory operations, or a similar role within the diagnostic or healthcare industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) or laboratory management systems (LMS) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize work effectively.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines for sample handling and processing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data privacy.
• Willingness to work in shifts, as required.
