Academic Counselor

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Counselor located in Sonipat. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for student counseling, communication, career counseling, academic advising, and education services on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective leads generated via digital campaigns, referrals, and marketing teams
• Explain the features and benefits of our educational products (online courses, test prep, career programs, etc.)
•   Understand the student’s learning needs and guide them to the appropriate course
• Follow-up regularly with leads via calls, emails, and messages to ensure closure
• Maintain proper records of calls, interactions, and conversions in the CRM system
• Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and KPIs
• Handle customer queries and objections professionally to build trust
• Coordinate with internal teams/External Teams (Principals, academic counselors, support, etc.) to ensure a seamless on boarding experience

Qualifications

• Student Counseling, Career Counseling, and Academic Advising skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in Education field
• Ability to provide guidance and support to students
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or related field
• Experience in academic administration is a plus.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Sales, Marketing, Education, or Communication)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi (regional languages are a plus)
• Strong convincing ability and confidence to handle rejections
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CRM tools
• Target-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
