Job Description

The Academic Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing the academic operations of the institution. This position requires someone who can collaborate across teams to improve programs, offer student support, and ensure that academic goals and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum and Program Development

    : Work with faculty and department heads to develop and revise curricula, ensuring they meet institutional goals and standards.
  • Student Support

    : Provide guidance to students on academic advising, course selection, program requirements, and academic policies.
  • Faculty Coordination

    : Act as the liaison between faculty and administration, assist with faculty orientation, training, and scheduling, and provide ongoing support in curriculum delivery.
  • Data Management

    : Collect, analyze, and report on academic performance data. Identify trends and suggest improvements based on data insights.
  • Business Development

    : Identify opportunities for program growth, partnerships, and strategies to expand the institution's academic offerings and presence.
  • Accreditation and Compliance

    : Ensure academic programs comply with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Scheduling and Logistics

    : Coordinate class schedules to meet student demand and faculty availability.
  • Communication

    : Maintain clear communication with students, faculty, and staff regarding academic updates, schedule changes, and relevant program information.
  • Reporting

    : Prepare and present reports on academic activities, performance, and trends for senior management or accreditation bodies.
  • Event Coordination

    : Organize academic events such as workshops, conferences, or student orientations.
  • Problem Solving

    : Address and resolve academic concerns or conflicts, ensuring a positive and productive academic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience in academic program management or coordination.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development and student support is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and academic compliance standards.
