Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC systems, preferably within the healthcare or hospital industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems including central plants, split units, VRF/VRV systems, and ducted systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems as per schedule.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems.
• Maintain air quality and temperature standards in critical care areas like ICUs, OTs, and labs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital infection control and safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
• Monitor and optimize energy usage and performance of HVAC systems.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance and repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with biomedical, electrical, and facility teams for integrated services.
• Follow up on HVAC-related complaints from various hospital departments and resolve them efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

• ITI/Diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems, BMS (Building Management Systems), and AHU/FCU operations.
• Familiarity with NABH/JCI requirements related to HVAC and air filtration systems is a plus.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in shifts if required.

Work Conditions:

• Hospital-based role with possible rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of clean room air conditioning.
• Experience working with chilled water systems and cold rooms.
• Knowledge of infection control requirements for HVAC in healthcare.
