Job Description

ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Development

Design, code, and test custom SAP applications using ABAP.
Develop RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
Implement User Exits, BADI, BAPI, and enhancement frameworks.

System Integration

Build and maintain interfaces using RFCs, IDOCs, and Web Services.
Collaborate with SAP PI/PO, Fiori, and Gateway teams for seamless integration.

Requirement Analysis

Work with functional consultants to understand business needs.
Translate functional specs into technical design documents.

Testing & Debugging

Perform unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in custom and standard SAP programs.

Documentation & Support

Maintain technical documentation for all developments.
Provide post-implementation support and performance tuning.

Collaboration

Participate in SAP implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI, HR).
Proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP and debugging tools.
Familiarity with SAP HANA, Fiori/UI5, and OData services is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience with SAP Enterprise Portal, NetWeaver, and Web Dynpro.
Ability to write both technical and functional specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Comfortable working in diverse, multicultural environments.
