Manufacturing & Fabrication :- Railway Metro coach

• Manage the manufacturing in Railway coach operations of a product line effectively and efficiently to manufacture a quality product in a timely manner

at the right cost.

• Involved in Manufacturing & Fabrication of heavy steel components like Angles, Channels, Joists, and Plates, Flats & Steel Rounds. Good Knowledge of the Fabrication Process that includes Cutting, Punching, Bending, Stamping, Welding, and Notching.Knowledge of Galvanizing Process.

• Complete CNC Production line of Cutting, Bending, Drilling, Milling & Machining

• Monitor the Production Processes and adjust schedules as needed.

• Trouble shooting of manufacturing process.

• Review worker performance.

• Responsible for rejection control, consumable cost control and systems compliance.

• Initiate the Continual Improvement Project, Productivity Improvement, Quality Improvement, Cost reduction, Safety enhancement

• Performance System: Working as a Team Leader in improvement, cost saving and energy savings activities by implementation of APSYS Tools like mini Kaizen, Major Kaizen, FMEA, RCCM and to minimize nonvalue added services & increase the productivity.

• Manpower utilization: - Carrying out the manpower utilization against the job planned on each Production Process to reduce the labor cost. By systematic and planned distribution increasing the Engagement hours in turn reduces the overall production cost.

• Target fixing: - As per the manufacturing capacity fixing the target by proper utilization of Man, Machine & material. Involved in the activities for increasing the uptime of the machines available, and OEE enhancement. Plant capacity increase as per the customers demand by Cycle time reduction to meet the takt time.

• Planning: Carrying out planning and releasing work order for production as per the delivery schedule to meet the Customers requirement and Quality within stipulated time.

• Raw Material Procurement: Calculation of the total quantity of Raw Material required, by preparing the Bill of Material against each Work order.

• Sale order Management: In the coordination with Marketing department maintaining the various international and domestic orders as a flag system and informing the customer by their updated status.

• Monitor, Plan and control multiple business segmented plant operations, ensuring QCD (quality, cost and delivery) for all customer orders and ensuring effective and efficient utilization of resources. (Man, machine, Materials.)

• Create and implement Industry best manufacturing practices, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve the plant performance.

• Coordinate team activities to optimize cost performance of the plant through capital investment proposals, optimizing operating working capital usage and minimizing waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles and industry best practices.

• Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high-performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions

• Ensure various compliances on Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures.

• Safety, health and environment (Zero accidents, 5S, TPM)

• Cost of production (Mfg. cost)

• Uptime of the machines (MTTR/ MTBF/ PM).

• TPM, Kaizens, Improvement, plant expansion proposals.
