Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile 3D Animation Artist to lead the creation of high-end product visualizations. This role requires a specialist who uses Blender for 3D production and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and compositing. You will be responsible for the entire visual journey—from initial art direction to hard-surface and soft rigging and final post-production.

The ideal candidate is a "technical artist" who can build simple mechanical rigs in Blender and seamlessly integrate them with sleek 2D motion graphics in After Effects to tell a compelling product story.

Key Responsibilities

• Blender Product Animation: Conceptualize and execute photorealistic 3D animations, focusing on product features, mechanical movements, and "hero" transitions.
• 2D Motion Graphics (After Effects): Design and animate high-end 2D overlays and typography in Adobe After Effects to complement 3D renders.
• Hard-Surface Rigging: Build robust, non-deforming rigs for mechanical products (pistons, hinges, foldable components) using Blender’s constraints and drivers.
• Art Direction: Lead the visual aesthetic of each project by creating mood boards, style frames, and color palettes that align with brand identity.
• Compositing & Post-Production: Use After Effects to composite 3D passes and perform color grading.
• Procedural Workflows (Plus): Utilize Blender Geometry Nodes for procedural scattering, motion graphics arrays, or non-destructive environment building.

Technical Requirements

• Blender Specialist: Expert proficiency in Blender for modeling, look-dev, and animation
• Motion Design Mastery: Intermediate skills in Adobe After Effects.
• Hard-Surface: Understanding of topology for mechanical objects and rigging without mesh distortion.
• Geometry Nodes: Ability to build custom node groups to solve complex animation or layout challenges.
• Lighting & Materials: Expert knowledge of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows and studio lighting setups for luxury products.
• Optimization: Ability to manage complex scenes and optimize render times for high-resolution output.

Good to Have (Not Mandatory)

• Basic understanding of cameras, lighting, and real-world production
• Prior work on

  D2C brands, UGC content, or product launch videos

• Familiarity with social media-first content formats
