Your new role challenging and future- oriented Responsible for designing Gas Turbine rotating & stationary components (e.g. blades & vanes, rotor, casing, combustion etc.) to meet full spectrum of design requirements (functionality, robustness, cost effectiveness, manufacturing requirements and technology, assembly requirements and service requirements) Development of innovative design solutions. Controlling risk of design changes with appropriate methods like FMEA. Applies appropriate methods which focus on robust design, like tolerance, analysis, standards and design rules. Creates, evaluates, reviews and applies specifications and other technical documents, e.g. design philosophy, purchasing specification, working specification, drawings, BOM, MM, check lists, manufacturing data, standard part calculations and component description. Create/prepare/review 2D and 3D CAD model of individual/assembly NX model of Gas Turbine stationary and Rotating components. Tool experience in NX will be preferred. Exposure & experience in model-based definition or PMI will be preferred Create, understand, review & modify manufacturing/assembly/fabrication drawings of Gas Turbine components. Create/review bill of material, Material Master, inspection specification of GT components as per SIEMENS standard practice. Seamless transfer of product definition input and output between CAD modeler and project lead respectively.

About the role We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in transformer tank and structural component design. This role involves working on key mechanical systems of power transformers, including tanks, covers, and external accessories, for global applications. Key Responsibilities: Design transformer tanks, stiffeners, covers, and external parts such as coolers, conservators, pipework, turrets, and conduit systems. Develop and manage 3D models using CAD software (e.g., CREO, Inventor, UG) and PDM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill). Create and review customer documentation including general arrangement drawings, foundation plans, and valve plates. Apply relevant international and customer-specific design standards. Support design for manufacturing, including fabrication, surface treatment, and painting for extreme weather conditions. We don"™t need superheroes, just super minds. Bachelor"™s or Master"™s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant experience). 3 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field. Experience of designing winding & winding assembly and knowledge of insulation parts like spacers, strips, OGW, moulded components like angle rings, caps, snouts etc. Knowledge on special processes related to winding and WAB like conductor bending, joint formation, enamel removal, moisture removal in ovens, winding assembly pressing/sizing, height adjustments, gluing, shield ring design etc. Proficient in 2D CAD tools like AutoCAD. Proficient in 3D CAD tools like Creo. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of dielectrics, axial & radial short circuit forces and oil flow mechanism within the winding & winding assembly. Experience of electrostatic field calculation is an added advantage. Key Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English is necessary. 1. Experience in generating 2D drawings in NX 2406 and AutoCAD. 2. Experience in 3D CAD modelling of mechanical structures (metallic and composites) using NX2406 3. Experience in generating 2D drawings from 3D models, generating fabrication drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing confirming to ASME Y14.5 standards. 4. Experience in understanding customer technical inputs/ feedbacks/corrections and updating the CAD files/Drawings/Documents. 5. Shall have experience in generating CAD & other documents viz 3D / 2D data in native format, neutral / portable formats, PDF format, image formats [JPEG / PNG / TIFF / BMP / GIF / WMF]. 6.
