Yarn Sustainability Manager

The Yarn Sustainability Manager will be responsible for overseeing the application, maintenance, and management of records for various sustainability certifications and standards in the textile industry. This includes GOTS, OCS, GRS, and RCS. You will be coordinating with brands to ensure the successful completion of social audits, compliance monitoring, and maintaining documentation of all social audits and statutory compliances. Additionally, you will need to regularly visit the factory to ensure adherence to social compliance standards, environmental requirements, and other sustainability guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include managing sustainability certifications by overseeing the application and maintenance of records, ensuring all documentation is up to date and in compliance with standards, and coordinating with certification bodies for renewals and audits. You will also serve as the primary contact for brands regarding social audits and sustainability compliance, working closely with them to facilitate audits and address any compliance issues. Maintaining accurate records of social audits, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, conducting factory visits to assess compliance standards, and providing training sessions for internal teams and factory personnel will be part of your role. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, stay updated on industry trends, and drive initiatives to enhance sustainability efforts. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in sustainability management, strong knowledge of sustainability standards and certifications, experience in managing social audits and compliance processes, and familiarity with statutory compliance regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to travel frequently are essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and proficiency in additional languages would be preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with occasional remote work flexibility. Frequent travel to factory locations is required, and exposure to factory environments while adhering to safety protocols is part of the job.,
