Preparing monthly indents report, updating monthly indents reports. Segregation of indents for critical items for placing immediate orders. To follow purchase procedure and systems for timely procurement of material and advising others to follow the same. To assist head of department in identifying new sources for items. To give feedback on packaging material aspects of the plant requirement to HOD Purchase To check on rejections and initiate suitable corrective actions. Doing follow- up for partys payments. Daily monitoring of stock out items to avoid production losses. Prepare regular reports on materials and suppliers performance to assist in decision making. Compile and maintain a list of preferred and approved list of suppliers. Any other duties assigned by the superiors from time to time. Ensuring appropriate documentation like purchase orders, MSN, etc. Maintain records for alternate sources and the savings achieved from time to time. Exposure to the QMS, customer audit requirements & expectations and comply with all the policies and procedures pertaining to those requirements. Ensure the departmental Policies and processes are aligned / updated with the changing customer requirements pertaining to EHS, Quality, Products, Material, People Sustainable development Initiatives etc . Other responsibilities: This position is at HO Pune. Hence the person needs to be a team player and handle pressures from marketing department for any urgent requirements which are generated in plant for specific packaging requirement. Maintain cordial relations with the suppliers and ensure that they are always in state of readiness to meet urgencies, if any. Keep records of new vendor development for cost saving and better quality Interaction with other departments like Production, QA etc. to understand specific requirement. Keep track of vendor payments and ensure release as per terms of PO. Keep seniors aware of the latest development in packaging technology with the suppliers which will help the organization for quality improvements. ISO and other audit requirement awareness. Vendor assessment as per frequency mention in ISO manual Vendor visits to check status of readiness of material, if required due to urgency. Sort out rejections at plant and inform supplier and request for CAPA. Inventory awareness of items procured. Help to liquidate non- moving items. Have good knowledge of the various manufacturing processes for packaging materials. Should be well aware of the discount structure prevalent in market & paper costing 15- Estimation of corrugated boxes and other parts procured in packaging material. Other requirement: Should be a team player Good English, written and verbal SAP working knowledge Time management Should be proactive and quick to respond to plant needs A go getter Positive and pleasing personality Ready to travel Negotiation skill Market awareness Good assessment skill of the vendor facilities Industry Preference: Preferably from manufacturing industry Qualification: Degree/Diploma MBA /DBM will be an added advantage Experience : 5 to 10 Years
