Workshop Controller

As part of the team at Norton Way Group, a powerhouse in the automotive industry, you will play a crucial role in a dynamic work environment where achievements are celebrated. **Role Overview:** As a Workshop Manager/Controller, your responsibilities will include correctly interpreting instructions from job cards/repair orders, ensuring technicians are trained and comply with repair instructions, planning and supervising work allocation, and reporting any tool/equipment issues or additional requirements promptly. **Key Responsibilities:** - Correctly interpret instructions from job cards/repair orders - Ensure technicians are trained and comply with repair instructions and manufacturer manuals - Plan, allocate, and supervise all work, ensuring correctness and timely reporting - Report any tool/equipment loss, shortage, damage, or malfunction promptly **Qualifications Required:** - Previous experience as a Workshop Manager/Controller - Full manual driving licence - Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities - Ability to work under pressure and problem-solving skills - Good decision-making and delegation capabilities - Capacity to support and motivate team members The salary for this position ranges from 40,000 to 45,000, depending on experience.
