Workday Extend Technical Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of custom applications using Workday Extend, ensuring seamless integration with Workday core functionalities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications and design blueprints.
• Develop and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions within the Workday ecosystem.
• Provide thought leadership on best practices and architectural design, ensuring alignment with Workdays standards and guidelines.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Workday Functional Consultants, Developers, and Project Managers, to ensure successful delivery of custom applications.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and enforce adherence to development standards across all projects.
• Stay updated on new Workday Extend features, product enhancements, and industry trends to inform solution design.
• Offer post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements for custom applications.

Requirements / Skills:

• Workday Experience:

  Minimum 5 years of experience with Workday Integrations.

• Workday Extend:

  At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing applications using Workday Extend (formerly Workday Cloud Platform).

• Workday Modules:

  Strong expertise in Workday HCM, Financials, or related modules.

• Technical Skills:

• Designing and implementing scalable cloud-based applications.
• Strong understanding of Workday APIs, data models, and security protocols.
• Experience with web services, REST, SOAP APIs.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, XSLT, and Workday-specific languages like Workday Studio and EIBs.

• Soft Skills:

  Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions.
