Workday Data Conversion Consultant

Role & responsibilities

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading Workday data conversion projects (HCM, Financials, or Student).
• Expertise in ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Strong ability to resolve complex data issues and mitigate risks.
• Skilled in designing and executing conversion strategies and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Office Suite.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Ability to define scope, timelines, and dependencies clearly.
• Experience mentoring team members and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Bachelors degree in a technical or related field.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours during peak cycles.

Preferences:

• Current Workday certification (Core HCM, Financials, Advanced Data Conversion).
• Overall 7+ years of experience, relevant 5+ years of Workday data conversion experience; 2+ full lifecycle implementations.
• Technical skills: SQL, XML/XSLT, Web Services, VBA, ETL.
• Advanced Excel (Power Query, macros, complex formulas).
• Familiarity with tools like Notepad++, UltraEdit, Oxygen XML, Beyond Compare.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring capabilities.
