As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and themes. You’ll work closely with design, marketing, and content teams to implement responsive, SEO-friendly, and secure solutions. A strong understanding of WordPress architecture, plugins, and performance optimization is key. Key Responsibilities:Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements. Customize existing themes, layouts, and functionalities. Implement responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile views. Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and overall performance. Ensure security best practices and maintain site backups. Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and custom features. Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content teams for seamless execution. Troubleshoot and fix bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks. Stay updated with WordPress core updates, PHP, and relevant technologies. Qualifications & Skills:Technical / Hard SkillsStrong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery. Expertise in WordPress CMS (themes, plugins, hooks, filters). Knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce integrations (if applicable). Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg). Understanding of SEO best practices and on-page optimization. Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations. Git / version control workflows. Knowledge of hosting, domains, and server setups (cPanel, Cloud, etc.). Soft SkillsDetail-oriented with clean coding practices. Problem-solving mindset and ability to debug quickly. Good communication and collaboration skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver on deadlines. ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (preferred). 2–5 years of proven WordPress development experience. Strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress projects.
