WLAN Linux Software - Associate Engineer

General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking a talented and motivated WLAN RTOS Engineer with 0-1 years of experience to join our Wireless R&D team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or QNX, and a strong foundation in OS concepts and networking protocols.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain RTOS-based software modules for WLAN solutions.Implement and optimize synchronization methods, process/thread management, memory management, and IPC mechanisms within RTOS environments.Develop and integrate peripheral drivers (e.g., SPI, UART, SDIO, PCIe) in an OS context.Contribute to transport-level flow control mechanisms and ensure robust data transfer across interfaces.Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Apply protocol knowledge (preferably IEEE 802.11 or other networking protocols) to enhance WLAN system performance and reliability.Independently drive tasks and deliverables, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.0-1 years of experience working with RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS, QNX).Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, including synchronization, process/thread management, memory management, and IPC.Experience designing and implementing at least one peripheral driver (SPI/UART/SDIO/PCIe) in an OS environment.
• Exposure to transport-level flow control mechanisms.Protocol knowledge in 802.11 or other networking protocols.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of distributed teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
