Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Wintel Service Owner with 15-20 years of expertise in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience across Windows, Linux, Solaris , and advanced cloud technologies such as Azure IaaS . This role demands end-to-end ownership of Wintel services, ensuring stability , security , efficiency , and a focus on automation and innovation . Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, implementation, and support of Wintel infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (Azure) . Server Administration: Oversee Windows Server environments, including patch management , security hardening , and performance tuning . Hybrid Environment Oversight: Manage Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Solaris systems within the hybrid infrastructure. Directory Services: Administer and optimize Active Directory (AD) , Entra ID (Azure AD) , and Group Policy for enterprise-wide authentication and security . Automation & Scripting: Implement and manage Ansible-based automation for server configuration, patching, and provisioning. Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell , Python , and Bash . Azure IaaS Management: Oversee Azure IaaS resources, focusing on VM deployment , cost optimization , and security compliance . Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and security frameworks . Operational Excellence: Develop strategies for incident , problem , and change management , driving service resilience and minimizing disruptions. Leadership & Collaboration: Provide technical leadership and mentorship, while engaging with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to align services with business goals. Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive service optimization initiatives to enhance performance and reduce operational overhead. Required Skills & Experience: 15-18 years of experience managing Windows Server , Linux , and Solaris environments. Expertise in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 , Active Directory , Group Policy Management , and identity protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth). Hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Solaris administration. Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS , including VM provisioning , backup , security , and cost optimization . Proficiency in Ansible automation , PowerShell , Python , and Bash scripting. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization concepts. Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies. Proven ability to lead , mentor , and manage technical teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent troubleshooting , problem-solving , and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent. Linux/Solaris Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE or Solaris Certification. Automation Certifications: Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent. ITIL Certification for service management best practices.
