Position Overview

Windows Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and certificate services.
• Administer Windows Failover Clustering and Hyper-V/VMware virtualization.

• Operations & Maintenance

• Perform OS patching, hotfix application, and server hardening.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot OS and application issues.
• Maintain backup and recovery processes (Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent).

• Security & Compliance

• Apply security updates and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Implement and monitor endpoint security solutions.

• Automation & Scripting

• Develop PowerShell scripts for system automation and reporting.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and DevOps initiatives.

• Collaboration

• Partner with application teams, database administrators, and network engineers.
• Provide on-call support for critical incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Windows server administration in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Understanding of ITIL processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure AD, Intune, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Exposure to Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM).
• Certification: MCSA/MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent.
