Safety & Environmental - Maintain a safe and environmentally correct work place by enforcing the company and plant safety and environmental rules and policies, ensuring that associates are wearing the required PPE at all times, providing prompt and clear communications, providing training as needed and required, performing regular workplace audits and involving all employeesConduct safety investigations as needed • Perform 5S audits/safety trainingEnsure safety, reliability, security and integrity of our gas customer’s premises the Company’s distribution system, consistent with Company goals, objectives and policies, in full compliance with existing and future governmental codes and regulationsLead continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing, safety, quality, throughput, delivery, and operating costsAssure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and support the Residential Flow safety programsPerform weekly safety inspections, 5s inspections, Layered AuditsProficient in welding technique (torch angle, CTWD, weaving)Represent NE on the US enterprise wide welding committee and communicate any and all updates or changesCoordinate welding resources to support Field Operations, Construction and CMSWork with Regulatory Compliance and Jurisdictions to respond to any NOPV (Notice of Probable Violations) and audits as required by the MA DPU (Department of Public Utilities) and RI PUC (Public Utilities Commission)
