Job Title: Welding Robot Operator / Programmer / Maintenance Technician Location: Doddaballapura Department: Manufacturing / Automation Reports To: Production Manager / Automation Lead Employment Type: Full-Time 🎯 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to operate, program, and maintain robotic welding systems. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement in automated welding processes. This role demands technical precision, safety awareness, and a hands-on approach to robotic systems. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Operation Set up and operate robotic welding cells for production runs. Monitor weld quality and adjust parameters as needed. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using gauges and instruments. Programming Create, modify, and optimize robot programs (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA). Interpret welding blueprints and translate them into robotic paths. Collaborate with engineering to implement new weld sequences and fixtures. Maintenance Conduct routine preventive maintenance on robotic arms, weld torches, and sensors. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults. Maintain logs of maintenance activities and downtime events. Safety & Compliance Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE. Maintain compliance with ISO, IATF, or other relevant standards. Participate in safety audits and corrective action plans. 🧠 Qualifications & Skills Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field. Experience: 2–5 years in robotic welding operations, preferably in automotive or heavy fabrication. Technical Skills: Proficiency in robot programming (YASKAWA, ABB, etc.) Understanding of MIG/TIG welding processes and metallurgy. Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial sensors. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. 📈 Preferred Certifications Robotic Programming Certification (OEM or third-party) Welding Inspector or Welder Qualification (AWS, IIW, etc.) Safety Training (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety) 💼 Career Path & Growth This role offers exposure to advanced automation technologies and cross-functional collaboration.
