Role & responsibilities Conduct daily inspections in accordance with drawings and applicable reference standards. Prepare and maintain inspection records that are traceable to the Goods Receipt Note (GRN). Assist with incoming inspections to facilitate GRN clearance. Perform inspections at the supplier's facility for machining, fabrication, and special processes such as powder coating, buffing, etc. Preferred candidate profile Perform accurate inspections and ensure compliance with expectations as outlined in the job role and responsibilities. Independently handle fabrication inspections in accordance with drawings and job card requirements, maintaining high accuracy.

1. Welding Inspection & Monitoring Inspect welds to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications (ASME, AWS, API, ISO, etc.). Verify welding parameters (voltage, current, speed, preheat, interpass temperature). Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of welds before, during, and after welding. 2. Documentation & Reporting Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQTR). Maintain inspection records, weld maps, and generate detailed inspection reports. Report non-conformances and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. 3. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Coordination Perform or witness NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) as required. Coordinate with NDT technicians and validate inspection results. 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure welding activities are carried out in accordance with quality standards, safety requirements, and project specifications. Verify calibration of welding and measuring equipment. Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of welding consumables. 5. Welder Qualification & Supervision Witness welder qualification tests and maintain records. Guide and support welders in following approved procedures. Verify that only qualified welders are assigned for welding activities. 6. Safety & Risk Management Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to safety regulations (fire prevention, PPE usage, confined space safety). Identify hazards and recommend risk mitigation measures. 7. Coordination & Communication Liaise with project engineers, QA/QC teams, and clients for inspection-related matters. Provide technical support to resolve welding issues on site. Participate in project meetings and quality audits.
