Job Description

1. Role Overview

The Website Manager will be responsible for managing, updating, and optimizing the Universitys official website and associated microsites to ensure accurate, user-friendly, and up-to-date information delivery. This role involves close coordination with multiple departments, vendors, and the marketing team to maintain website performance, branding consistency, and effective online communication.

2. Role & responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the universitys main website and related microsites.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor changes to the site layout, content, and functionality.
  • Ensure timely updates of academic programs, faculty profiles, events, and news sections.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect content and publish approved materials.
  • Optimize website performance through SEO best practices and analytics tracking.
  • Manage web content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with UI/UX standards and accessibility guidelines.
  • Work closely with IT and external vendors for technical troubleshooting and upgrades.
  • Analyze website traffic, generate reports, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain website security, backups, and data protection standards.
  • Support digital campaigns and integrate web content with social media, landing pages, and digital assets.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    HTML, CSS, WordPress (or similar CMS)

    , and basic scripting.
  • Experience in

    SEO, Google Analytics, and digital content optimization.

  • Excellent

    communication and coordination

    skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Understanding of

    website security, responsiveness, and UI/UX design principles.

  • Ability to manage multiple updates and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working under tight timelines.

4. Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Design, Digital Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in website management, preferably in academic or corporate sectors.
  • Certification in Digital Marketing, SEO, or Web Development will be an added advantage.
