Lead Designer

We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Designer to join our team as an individual contributor. The Lead Designer will be responsible for overseeing all design projects, from conception to delivery. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a team, collaborate with other departments, and ensure that all designs meet the highest quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design team, providing direction and mentorship.
• Oversee all design projects, ensuring they align with the company's vision and goals.
• Develop and execute design strategies and concepts.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver compelling designs.
• Ensure all designs meet the brand guidelines and are consistent across all platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.
• Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions.
• Create and present design proposals and prototypes to stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and achievements.
• Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor a team of designers.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a design role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Stech, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
• Experience in conducting design Brainstorming, workshops, User interviews, etc.
• Experience in UI/UX design methodology(like design thinking, UCD, etc.)
• Experience in Usability testing is a must.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript will be an added advantage.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Added advantage of 2D/3D Modeling Animation and 2D/3D Animation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Strong people management skills with good written and verbal communication.
