Position Summary:

We re seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and technically proficient

Web Designer

to design and develop responsive, visually engaging, and user-centered web experiences. This role combines expertise in UI/UX design with front-end development capabilities, contributing to both the aesthetics and functionality of our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with designers, developers, and marketing teams to create seamless and accessible user experiences across all digital touchpoints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

UI/UX Design

  1. Design responsive, user-centric website layouts and digital interfaces.
  2. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
  3. Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate based on user feedback.
  4. Maintain and evolve the design system and enforce visual consistency.

Front-End Development

  1. Develop and maintain responsive webpages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React is a plus).
  2. Manage and update content within CMS platforms such as Statamic, WordPress, or Webflow.
  3. Ensure accessibility compliance and optimize websites for cross-browser/device performance.
  4. Collaborate with developers for technical integration and interactive features.

Creative Collaboration

  1. Partner with graphic designers to align branding with digital experiences.
  2. Provide creative direction and design assets such as icons, banners, and illustrations.
  3. Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all online channels.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in web design or a hybrid design/development role.
  3. Strong portfolio demonstrating design and development capabilities.

Technical Skills

  1. Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
  2. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with React is preferred.
  3. Experience working with CMS platforms like Statamic, WordPress, or Webflow.
  4. Understanding of responsive design principles, web accessibility (WCAG), and UX best practices.
  5. Familiar with browser compatibility, performance optimization, and SEO fundamentals.

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

  1. Experience with motion design tools (CSS animations, Lottie, After Effects).
  2. Knowledge of SEO strategies and tools.
  3. Experience with reusable design systems and components.

Language Ability

  1. Ability to read and interpret design briefs, technical documentation, and creative direction.
  2. Capable of writing clear and concise documentation, style guides, and specifications.
  3. Able to effectively communicate design concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Mathematical Ability

  1. Ability to apply basic arithmetic and logical thinking for layout calculations, sizing, spacing, and animations.

Reasoning Ability

  1. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve design and user experience issues.
  2. Able to respond to design feedback constructively and iterate quickly.
  3. Demonstrates adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills

  1. Proficient with design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite), development environments (VS Code), and CMS platforms.
  2. Comfortable using task management, collaboration, and version control tools (e.g., Jira, Git, Slack, Notion).

  1. Ensure websites follow secure coding practices and do not expose user data.
  2. Maintain data integrity and protect personally identifiable information.
