Job Description: Accessibility Test Engineer Location: Bangalore (Hybrid Mode) Experience Range: 6-10 Years We are looking for an experienced Accessibility Test Engineer to join our team. As a CPACC Certified professional, you will be responsible for conducting accessibility audits on various digital platforms to ensure compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, with potential updates to WCAG 2.2, Level AA. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct compliance audits for websites and (TV) apps to certify digital platforms meet the success criteria of WCAG 2.1, Level AA. - Perform user journey-driven accessibility audits based on specific user goals/tasks provided by clients. - Utilize screen readers such as Jaws, NVDA, Voice Over, Talk Back, and screen magnifiers like ZoomText Magnifier to conduct thorough audits. - Clearly identify and prioritize accessibility issues, indicating their impact on user experience. - Collaborate with UX, design, development, and editorial teams to implement recommended changes and improvements. - Ensure all audits are overseen by a certified Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) and adhere to agreed timings and deadlines. Qualifications: - Certified Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) or equivalent certification. - Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 guidelines. - Hands-on experience with various screen readers and assistive technologies. - Proven track record of conducting accessibility audits for digital platforms. - Excellent communication and reporting skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize issues effectively. - Commitment to improving accessibility for people with disabilities. With 3-5 years of experience in testing, including 2-3 years of relevant experience in accessibility testing, you should be capable of thinking through different scenarios. You are expected to be well-versed in testing processes such as Agile Workflow, Test Case Creation, Bug Reporting, Defect Tracking, and creating tracking documents. Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 standards is essential, along with experience in working with screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and Talkback. Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role as you will be handling client calls and participating in walkthroughs of testing procedures. You should be proactive, innovative, and able to prepare reports related to software testing. Additionally, you must ensure that all testing work is conducted according to defined standards and procedures.
