Job Type: Fulltime /Contract

• Setting up and configuring WAS/WLP environments, including installing necessary software and plugins, creating profiles, and configuring security settings.
• Deploying and managing web applications within the WAS/WLP environment, ensuring proper configuration and integration with the server.
• Monitoring the performance of WAS/WLP servers and applications, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning techniques to optimize resource utilization and response times.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to WAS/WLP, including application errors, performance problems, and security vulnerabilities.
• Implementing and maintaining security configurations for WAS/WLP environments, including user authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Automating repetitive tasks such as application deployment, configuration changes, and server maintenance using scripting languages like python or Shell scripting.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for WAS/WLP configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Working closely with development teams to ensure smooth application deployments and integrations, and with security teams to address security concerns.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest WAS/WLP versions, features, and best practices through ongoing learning and training.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of WAS/WLP architecture, components, and configuration options.
• Proven ability to deploy, configure, and manage web applications within WAS/WLP.
• Experience with monitoring tools and techniques to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems related to web applications.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting for automating tasks.
• Understanding of security principles and experience implementing security measures in WAS/WLP environments.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Increasingly, WAS/WLP admins need experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, especially for migrating and managing WAS/WLP environments in the cloud.
