Warehouse Associate

Receiving shipments: Unload delivery trucks, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for any damage or defects. Inventory management: Sort, label, and store items in designated locations. Associates also perform regular inventory counts and update records to maintain stock accuracy, often using warehouse management systems (WMS). Order fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and labeling. Shipping: Load packed orders onto delivery trucks and prepare the necessary paperwork for shipment. Equipment operation: Safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move heavy items.  Teamwork and safety  Maintain a safe environment: Follow all company safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep the warehouse clean and organized. Work with colleagues: Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and resolve issues.  Required skills and qualifications Education and experience  High school diploma or equivalent is typically required for this role. Prior warehouse experience is often preferred but not always necessary, as many companies provide on-the-job training. Material-handling certifications, such as a forklift license, are often a plus.  Physical and technical abilities  Physical stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment. Computer literacy: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is often needed to maintain records. Equipment proficiency: Skill in operating material-handling equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts. Basic math skills: Competency in basic arithmetic for inventory counting and verification
