Position Overview:

Design Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer - NPD/SPM Design

Key Responsibilities:

Understand project and customer requirements and develop creative and feasible machine design concepts.
Develop detailed
3D models
and
engineering drawings
for SPMs and material handling equipment.
Ensure designs meet
performance, durability, cost, and manufacturability
benchmarks.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical solutions to resolve product performance issues.
Apply knowledge of
GD&T
, tolerance stack-up, and industrial design standards (ANSI, JIS, DIN).
Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients throughout the design and development lifecycle.
Provide support for
tooling, fixtures, and jigs
as applicable to machine design.
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in design practices and standardization.
Understand and incorporate
hydraulic and pneumatic systems
into machine designs.
Participate in assembly trials, testing, and troubleshooting for developed equipment.

Desired Skill Set:

Strong knowledge in
engineering mechanics, strength of materials, and theory of machines
.
Minimum 3 years of
core experience in SPM design/NPD
, including:

Design calculations

Hands-on experience with
SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor
.
Understanding of
manufacturing and assembly processes
.
Exposure to
hydraulic and pneumatic systems
and integration in mechanical design.
Familiarity with
GD&T
, design optimization, and stack-up analysis.
Good communication and interpersonal skills;ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel for
on-site support and overseas assignments
.
Basic understanding of
Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
