Job Title: Senior Manager -Operations Department: Operations Industry: Manufacturing of SS Pipe Location: Ahmedabad- Mehsana Highway Reporting To: VP - Operations Job Summary: The Senior Manager Operations willoversee the end-to-end operations ofthe pipe manufacturing plant. This includes production, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, logistics, and process optimization. The role is focused on ensuring efficient operations, cost control, on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Salary Package: 10 to 14 Lacs per annum Key Requirements: • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering; MBA is a plus(Optional). • Experience: 10 to 12 years in manufacturing, preferably in piping Industries (SS, CS,) or industrial products, Engineering/ Fabrication company • Skills 1. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes like forging, casting, machining, etc. 2. Familiarity with ERP systems (for future - SAP) 3. Proficient in MS Office, production planning tools, and lean methodologies. 4. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. 5. Strong conflict resolution and motivation techniques. • Special Skills 6. In-depth understanding of elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, couplings, and custom fittings. 7. Reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications 8. Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, ANSI, and other relevant standards 9. Long-term planning for production, capacity expansion, and resource allocation 10. Implementing continuous improvement methods to increase efficiency and reduce waste. 11. Leading cross-functional teams in production, maintenance, QA&C, logistics Key Responsibilities: 1. Production • Plan, organize, and manage manufacturing processes to meet production targets. • Monitor day-to-day production metrics like output, cycle time, downtime, and Scrap (Waste). • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials. 2. QA& QC • Ensure all products meet internal and customer quality standards. • Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues. • Collaborate with QA teams to uphold ISO, ASTM, ANSI, and other regulatory compliances. 3. Supply Chain & Inventory • Work with logistics for timely delivery and distribution planning. • Maintain optimum inventory levels to meet production schedules without overstocking. 4. Maintenance & Safety • Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery. • Maintain a strong safety culture on the shop floor; enforce EHS protocols. 5. Process Improvement • Identify bottlenecks and drive lean manufacturing initiatives. • Lead Kaizen, 5S, implement and improvement projects. • Work with cross-functional teams to digitize and automate operations. 6. Team Leadership • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators. • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews. • Foster a collaborative and disciplined work culture.
