Walk-in Drive | Hyderabad - Plumbing and Firefighting Design Engineer

The 'Plumbing and Firefighting Engineer' will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive plumbing and firefighting systems for a variety of building projects. The role will involve collaborating with architects, structural engineers and other disciplines to develop efficient and effective design solutions that ensure health, safety and compliance with local standards and regulations

This position involves working within the MEP Design & Engineering Team at Axium Globals Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai. The team consists of skilled professionals, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers with varied experience. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the designing of plumbing and fire protection systems in various construction projects.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the overall design of plumbing & fire protection systems & deliverables, including concept design, schematic design, design development, tender Design / documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings)
  
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers and other design professionals to ensure cohesive project planning and execution
  
• Experience in fire protection systems design of sprinklers, external and internal hydrant system, fire pump & tank systems design, hydraulic calculations
  
• Experience in design of water supply, sewerage and drainage system including necessary calculations. Design of comprehensive underground sewerage and storm water systems. Sizing and selecting of location for STP & water tanks. Detail drawing layout for internal & external water and drainage system
  
• Ability to design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes of practice for various types of buildings based on client brief & guidelines
  
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation including drawings, calculations, technical specifications and reports
  
• Ability to work independently on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups as per project requirements
  
• Understanding codes & standards local to project location and utilizing the latest & industry leading software
  
• Ability to independently create Plumbing & fire protection design mark-ups and perform calculations
  
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders
  

Qualification and Experience Required:

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech degree in mechanical or civil engineering or a related technical field
  
• Minimum 4 years of experience in designing of, Plumbing & Fire Protection systems for commercial, retail, hospital and residential projects
  
• Experience of having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Design layouts
  
• Experience of using MS Office
