Job Description

• Cost management skills to estimate the quantities and costs for construction projects effectively.

• Technical knowledge to understand construction plans and blueprints, and the ability to use related software.

• Understand drawing and should do detailed takeoff for all structural, Architectural and external works

• Review of the measurements or bills or variation or any submission related to quantity or cost submitted by the other stake holders and have to report the observations and carry with the corrections

• Change Management, rate analysis and variation management as per the set process

• Reporting the project cost / expenditure or projected through cost reports or QS reports with respect to the budget.

• Review and evaluate reconciliations, QS reports and other reports for client reporting.

• Interpersonal skills to liaise with contractors, clients, and other professionals involved in the project.

• Analytical thinking to review architectural plans and identify potential cost implications, risks, and benefits.

• Communication skills to negotiate with suppliers and contractors, and to provide clear cost reports to clients and project managers.

• Project management skills to oversee all stages of the construction process and ensure that costs are in line with forecasts.

• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

• Legal understanding to advise on contracts, warranties, and professional risks.

• Knowledge of construction, materials, and industry updates to provide accurate estimates and project progress reports.

• Analyzing terms and conditions in the contract.

• Predicting potential risks in the project and taking precautions to mitigate such.

• Forecasting the costs of different materials needed for the project. • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets and other documentation.

• Tender management including preparation of bills of quantities, contract conditions and assembly of tender documents

• Contract management and contractual advice

• Valuation of construction work

• Claims and dispute management

• Lifecycle costing analysis • Reinstatement Cost Assessment for Insurance Purposes.
