Job Description

Job Purpose

To provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests in line with the hotel’s 5-star business-class standards, ensuring a memorable dining experience through courteous, efficient, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

  • Welcome guests warmly and ensure a comfortable dining experience.
  • Present menus, explain dishes, specials, and beverage options clearly.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
  • Serve food and beverages following correct service etiquette and presentation standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly and professionally to requests or concerns.

Service Operations

  • Set up and maintain dining areas, side stations, and mise-en-place as per hotel standards.
  • Clear tables efficiently and reset them promptly for the next service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant, service areas, and equipment.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service.

Quality, Hygiene & Compliance

  • Adhere strictly to hotel SOPs, grooming standards, and service sequences.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
  • Comply with health, safety, and hotel policies.

Teamwork & Professional Conduct

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
  • Assist teammates during peak hours, banquets, and special events.
  • Uphold the brand values and service philosophy of Gokulam Grand Trivandrum.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Food & Beverage Service preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a waiter in a star-category hotel or reputed restaurant.
  • Well-trained freshers may be considered.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Malayalam and Hindi is an advantage).
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance with excellent grooming standards.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for long hours.
  • Capable of carrying trays and handling service equipment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
