Job Description

Role Overview: As the VP, Functional Remediation Leader at Synchrony, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of all consumer remediations within a specific business function. Your role will involve building and leading a team of Functional Remediation Coordinators (FRCs) to ensure timely completion of remediations in adherence to the company's policies and procedures. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leading the function through change, and enhancing the remediation processes. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and lead a team of Functional Remediation Coordinators (FRCs) to drive the management and delivery of all remediation initiatives within the assigned function. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the remediation team by evaluating processes, identifying enhancement opportunities, and implementing best practices. - Guide the function through significant change by promoting resilience, adaptability, and clarity of vision among teams and stakeholders. - Assign work and responsibilities to FRCs based on expertise, availability, and business priorities to ensure effective execution of remediation projects. - Communicate clearly and timely with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns proactively. - Act as the first point of escalation for functional stakeholders, resolving issues and escalating further as needed for swift resolution. - Develop a high-performing remediation team, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. - Resolve competing priorities within the function by balancing stakeholder needs with enterprise requirements through diplomacy and sound judgment. - Address senior-level and governance-related escalations, serving as a liaison between the function and enterprise leadership. - Collaborate with other Functional Remediation Coordinators to align on cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the overall remediation strategy. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in business management, operations, or the financial industry. In lieu of a degree, 12+ years of relevant work experience. - 5+ years of experience in managing remediations, project management, or leading strategic initiatives. Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects. - 5+ years of team-leading experience. - 3+ years of experience in a heavily regulated financial services environment. - Flexibility to engage in in-person activities such as business meetings, round tables, and remote events as required.
