Here's a job description for a VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Programmer cum Operator: ## Key Responsibilities 1. Programming: Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for machining operations on VMC machines. 2. Machine Operation: Set up and operate VMC machines to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, and tapping. 3. Part Inspection: Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements. 4. Tool Management: Manage and maintain cutting tools, including tool wear monitoring and replacement. 5. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure VMC machines are in good working condition. ## Requirements 1. Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or related field. 2. Experience: Prior experience in VMC programming and operation. 3. Skills: Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code), machining processes, and VMC machine operations. 4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented to ensure quality and accuracy in machined parts. ## Additional Requirements (if applicable) 1. Software proficiency: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM) and CNC programming software. 2.
