VMC Programmer cum Operator

Position: CNC/VMC Programmer & Operator

Location: Alapakkam, Porur, Chennai

Job Description:

We are hiring a CNC/VMC Programmer cum Operator who can independently program, set up, and operate CNC/VMC machines to deliver high-precision components. The ideal candidate should have expertise in CNC programming as well as hands-on experience in machine operation.

Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die / CNC Programming
• Proven experience as a CNC/VMC Programmer and Operator.
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidCAM, UG NX, etc.).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and maintain close tolerances.
• Ability to work independently and handle complex jobs
• Good knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and materials.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up VMC machines for production and R&D components
• Interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T
• Set tools, fixture components, and optimize machining processes
• Perform quality checks using instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
• Understand basic CNC programming (preferably FANUC/Siemens)
• Maintain machine cleanliness and safety standards
• Coordinate with engineering and QC teams
