Visual Architect

As a Visual Architect at Wordsburg, you will play a key role in defining and championing the visual strategy and design language across all learning solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Championing User-Centric Design: Ensuring that all visual solutions are optimized for the learner's experience and engagement by defining and enforcing user-centric design principles. - Incorporating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG): Leading the development and implementation of design standards that comply with WCAG to make learning artefacts accessible to a diverse audience. - Providing Strategic Design Leadership for Learning: Defining the long-term visual design strategy, architecture, and standards for complex learning programs/projects and aligning them with pedagogical goals and business objectives. - Leading Conceptual Innovation & Learning Artifacts: Ideating and developing groundbreaking visual concepts that translate abstract learning objectives into engaging visual experiences. - Driving Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) Design: Championing the strategic use of AR/VR and other immersive technologies to create effective learning experiences. - Architecting System-Level Design for Digital Learning: Creating comprehensive visual design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency across diverse learning platforms. - Demonstrating Advanced Visual Communication: Mastering typography, color theory, imagery, and layout to convey complex information clearly within learning content. - Acting as a Brand & Content Steward: Ensuring brand consistency and visual identity in all learning artefacts while integrating content for maximum visual impact. - Promoting Immersive & Interactive Learning Design: Integrating cutting-edge design principles to create interactive and engaging user experiences within learning environments. - Collaborating Cross-Functionally & Mentoring: Working seamlessly with various teams and providing guidance to foster a culture of design excellence and innovation. - Managing Performance: Proactively overseeing the performance of visual design initiatives by monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvement. - Building Stakeholder & Customer Relationships: Establishing strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influencing design decisions at an executive level. - Leading Team Management: Providing leadership and management to a team of designers, including hiring, performance reviews, and professional development. - Engaging in Research & Development: Staying updated on industry trends and best practices to integrate them into the design strategy. Qualifications required for this role include: - Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Interaction Design, Learning Technologies, or a closely related field. - 10+ years of progressive experience in visual design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within digital products or learning content development. - Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, conceptual innovation, and mastery of visual design principles. - Expertise in defining and leading visual design strategies for enterprise-level initiatives. - Proficiency in industry-standard design software and advanced prototyping tools. - Strong understanding of front-end technical capabilities and limitations to ensure feasible design solutions. - Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Track record of mentoring and developing design talent. - Deep understanding of AGILE methodologies and experience in complex content delivery environments.,
