Visa Counsellor – Job Description Position Overview: The Visa Counsellor is responsible for guiding clients through the visa application process by providing accurate information, document support, and personalized advice. The role requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual with strong communication skills and up-to-date knowledge of visa regulations and procedures for various countries. Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive counselling to clients regarding visa requirements, documentation, and procedures for study, work, or travel purposes. Assess clients’ eligibility for different visa categories and assist in selecting the most suitable option. Guide clients in preparing and organizing required documentation for submission. Review and verify client information and application forms to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain updated knowledge of immigration policies, embassy rules, and visa application processes. Coordinate with embassies, consulates, and visa centers as required. Follow up with clients on application status and provide timely updates. Maintain records of client interactions and applications in the company database. Achieve assigned targets for successful visa outcomes and client satisfaction. Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and promotional events as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in International Relations, Business, or a related field). Prior experience (1–3 years) in visa counselling, immigration, or international education is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple clients and applications simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools. Knowledge of current visa rules for countries such as Canada, the UK, Australia, the USA, etc., is an advantage. Personal Attributes:Professional and client-oriented demeanor.
