Location: [CHANDIGARH] Department: Immigration Services Reports To: Immigration Manager / Senior Counselor Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary:The Visa Counselor will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance to clients on visa application processes for study, work, PR (Permanent Residency), or travel purposes. This role involves evaluating client profiles, offering appropriate visa options, and ensuring smooth and successful application submissions. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and updated knowledge of immigration policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:Counsel clients regarding various visa categories (study, work, PR, visitor, etc.) and destination countries. Assess the eligibility of clients based on their profile, qualifications, and immigration requirements. Provide accurate information about visa procedures, documentation requirements, processing timelines, and fees. Guide clients in preparing and reviewing required documents before submission. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and policy changes across countries (Canada, Australia, UK, USA, etc.). Handle visa applications from start to finish, including form filling, appointment booking, and follow-up. Liaise with embassies, consulates, and immigration departments as required. Maintain and update client records in CRM systems and prepare regular reports. Follow up with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance immigration knowledge. Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Law, International Relations, or similar fields). Proven experience (1–3 years preferred) in immigration consulting or visa counseling. Strong knowledge of international immigration and visa procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under pressure. Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Immigration Consultancy (if applicable). Experience handling visas for multiple countries. Fluency in multiple languages (a plus, especially if dealing with diverse clientele). Working Conditions:Office-based with standard working hours. May require extended hours during peak seasons. Occasional travel may be required for seminars, client visits, or embassy meetings.
