Requirement #1: Automotive CAD BIW /

Skill :

• Excellent Catia V5 Skills (Part modelling, GSD and Assembly workbench). 3DX experience will be added advantage.
• Hands on experience in design and development of Sheet-metal parts and Plastic parts.
• Good Knowledge on product and manufacturing process.
• Ability to handle BIW/Interior part design work Independently. Should be able to interact, analyze and create parts as per design Rules & requirements.
• -Handle design review meetings & stake holder meetings individually for his/her parts.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with overseas customers, program stake holders and suppliers.
• Good Team Player and flexible to work in any streams of work as per dynamic requirement that may change from time to time.
• Should be able to understand and willing to work under any challenging and tough environments.
• Knowledge on Teamcenter/ Vismockup is an added advantage.
• Will be an advantage if at least 1 New Product Development project has been completed.

• BE/ME Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 2 to 4 Years of working experience in Engine components

• Working experience in CAD Modeling, New drawing creation, Vehicle Packaging, Stack -up Analysis & Engineering Change management using CATIA V5 / 3DX

• Working Knowledge in GDT and PLM Tools/Methods

• Experience in Stack up Analysis Concepts with real time application in projects

  (Linear/Fastener/Axial/Radial)

• Should be Proficient in Microsoft office tools

• Candidate should have Good Presentation & communication Skills (Written & Verbal

• Should have Good Analytical Skills

  Note: Preference will be given for Diversity Candidates and Technically strong Internal Candidates

• Creation of New Engine Component and Assembly drawings for Prototype/Initial release (Casting, machining, Molding, forming, stamping etc.,)

• Packaging, Clearance/Interference Studies and Design rule checks for Engine components

• Design proposals and CAD Remastering for Engine components

• Perform Stack-up Analysis (Linear, Axial/Radial & Fastener) for Engine Systems and sub systems

• 3D Model and Drawing updates as per Engineering Change request

• Creation and Maintenance of Engine assemblies using CAD/PLM tools

• Must have working experience in creating new drawings, vehicle Packaging, engineering Change management and stackup analysis

• Candidate should have good communication skills

• Creation and Maintenance of master cross sections and Layouts for Driveline components such as half shafts, drive shafts, axles and mounts

• Packaging, Clearance/Interference and Design rule checks for Powertrain/driveline components

• 3D Model and Drawing updates as per Engineering Change requests

• Drawing Prints checking as per company Drafting Standard

• Perform Stack-up Analysis (linear, axial/radial & fastener) for Powertrain Systems and subsystems

Requirement #4: Automotive CAD Powertrain - Driveline.

• Must be Strong in Stack up Analysis Concepts with real time application in projects

• Experience in BIW (Body-in-White) Design of Structures such as Underbody / Front End Structure.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling and stamping requirements and assembly sequences of BIW and Closures

• Relevant experience in AL-PL layout, Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle Packaging, Concept creation and assembly processes of various parts.

• Knowledge of relevant Regulations & Homologation requirements.

• Good knowledge and hands-on experience of GD&T for CAD models and drawings.

• Knowledge in WERS, GPDS & DPA 0/1 assessments in E2KS.

• Contribute to concept development, Value Analysis Value Engineering (VA-VE) and innovative proposals.

• Support the Design and Development of Body Engineering CAD concepts / solutions for Underbody, covering New Product Development for PV - Passenger Vehicle / CV - Commercial Vehicle.

• Define and implement joining strategies such as SPOT welding, MIG welding and other attachment features.

• Ensure design compliance with BIW and vehicle attributes, technical and structural requirements, quality objectives, program milestones deliverables and specific targets (cost, weight, timing, etc.).

• Coordinate with the manufacturing team on mass production assembly solutions, assembly sequence and part feasibility.

• Interact with the CAE team and interpret results to meet all Regulatory, Safety, NVH, Deflection and Fatigue requirements.

• Ensure proper engagement interfaces with mating components and respective clearances with surrounding components, thereby meeting DPA Standards.

• Facilitate timely and frequent engineering review of CAD.

• Work on cross-functional teams (Suspension, Powertrain, Manufacturing and Exterior (Upperbody) / Interior) to develop efficient designs and lead the integration of interfacing components.

• Able to interpret DFMEA, DVP&Rs and GD&T documentation to support D&R and enhance design quality.
