Role & responsibilities

• Regular connect with stakeholder to understand manufacturing process requirement.
• Design of Material handling systems from concept stage to final design such as paint buggies, Trolley, Kitting cart etc.
• Create Manufacturing drawings of Material handling equipment inline to standards followed by stakeholder.
• Participate in Design reviews and getting approval from stakeholders.
• Generate and publish project status on weekly basis.
• Ensure First time right and on time project delivery.
• Teamwork and collaboration with another internal department.

Functional Skills & Experiences

• Jigs, fixtures and Equipments Design & Development : Good understanding of tool (Jigs & Fixtures for welded assemblies / other equipment trolley, tackle, quality gauges, Material handling systems etc)  design principles and their impact on manufacturing, EHS & Quality, including good experience of CAD Software (Pro-E, PDM windchill, Solid Works etc).
• Manufacturing Drawings:  Experience in creating manufacturing drawing for Jigs and Fixtures using CAD software listed above with GD&T and Welding symbols.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and quality control principles is crucial. This includes experience in fabrication, assembly, task sequence,  time study, process, and plant layouts. Knowledge of Machining process.
• Work instruction creation in Excel
• Process Improvement Methods : Proficiency in methodologies like Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Six Sigma, Kiazen, Lean Time Study etc.
• Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret data / customer requirement from various sources like production issues, FEA reports and solve manufacturing problems.
