Desired Candidate Profile Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment. B.E/ M.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. 4-9 years of experience in Autodesk Inventor or other 3D Modeling Software Applications for generating 3D models and drawings. Ability to apply mathematical equations to complex situations. Ability to read, understand and create specifications as well as General Arrangement, Fabrication, and Erection drawings. Strong desire to continue to learn and develop technical expertise. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office programs. Ability to understand English, at advanced level, via written and verbal communication. Preferred Qualifications: B.E/ M.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor, AutoDesk AutoCAD and AutoDesk Vault. Experience using and generating parametric models. Experience in designing and performing fabrication work [welding, pipe fitting, assembly, etc.] Familiarity with Visual Basic and Autodesk Inventor iLogic Roles and Responsibilities Work closely with the project manager and project engineer to establish project schedules, meet project deadlines, and control project engineering costs. Perform general engineering analysis and prepare required 3D models, 2D layouts, detailed drawings, calculations, specifications and instructions, with limited supervision. Document and update design procedures on a regular basis. Provide technical support to sales and marketing through specification reviews, cost estimates, sales drawings and calculations. Participate in product improvement, reliability and cost reduction projects. Perform all work in a safe manner, adhering to company and corporate policies. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Role & responsibilities 1. Review of formal bid specifications. Working closely with Sales Managers, Proposal manager, Product Manager and the Engineering Group to execute the bid in accordance with the strategy. Assists to develop and maintain accuracy of the bid documents. 2. Develop calculations for equipment sizing, demonstrating process performance, including use of 3rd party software and Ovivo standards. 3. Preparation of budgetary proposals and development of these from a preliminary to a firm proposal working under the Proposal Manager. 4. Undertaking accurate costing of projects and associated cash flow calculations as required. 5. Production of documentation covering design aspects, scope of supply, costing etc. 6. Prepare functional design specifications and logic to communicate process requirements to software writers. 7. Provide process support to the aftersales team on refurbishment and service contracts. 8. Resolving problems by adjustments to existing equipment, addition of new equipment, or replacement by a new system, taking into account cost effectiveness, customer preferences and the correct technical approach. 9. Updates to completed proposals to keep track of project status, purchase dates, etc. Re-quoting as needed. 10. Provide hand-over packages to Operations for awarded Projects. 11. Evaluate design safety factors and process risk 12. Participation in review meetings when called upon including HAZOP and access, lifting and maintenance reviews. 13. Performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures 14. Work with other disciplines to evaluate impact of changes to design and document these impacts according to Ovivo procedures 15. Provide technical input to Operation and maintenance manuals 16. Prepare training documents for customer training. 17. Assist commissioning engineers with commissioning and optimizing of pure water treatment plants 18. Other duties may be assigned as required. Preferred candidate profile COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to understand, read, write and converse in English fluently . INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT, DECISION MAKING & PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to apply principles of logic and scientific thinking and decision making requiring the use of a variety of variables in standard situations. Ability to bring a clear understanding of this role impacts the sales cycle. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Computer skills: Must have computer experience using company standard software and Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Graphic application programs. Experience of working in AutoCAD and Inventor. Mathematical skills: Ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts Knowledge of basic engineering calculations is required along with an understanding of specific product related functions, such as time study calculations. High productivity rate for Multi-discipline design/estimating and tender preparation. Ability to handle multiple tenders and thrive within a busy Matrix Structure working productively and efficiently to tight timescales.. Travel: Overseas travel may occasionally be required. Other: Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings and specifications. Whilst product training will be provided, experience and knowledge of the current Ovivo pure water product lines (Ion exchange, CPP, BWRO, Pretreatment, SWRO, EDI etc). Strong organization skills and capability to handle changing priorities Good commercial awareness and able to select most cost effective solutions. Good track record in working within successful teams securing new projects of value $1-10m in a water treatment environment working for end users and EPC companies.
