Cfd Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled CFD Engineer to join our team. As a CFD Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fluid dynamics simulations to support design and analysis efforts across various water treatment equipment related projects.

You would need to demonstrate through knowledge of fluid dynamics as required for water and wastewater CFD analysis with good grasp of engineering knowledge. Ability to think out of the box and be able to work in cross-functional team. Including planning and executing simulation activity, developing design solutions to meet performance targets, collaborating with design engineering on their feasibility, and root cause /resolution of issues discovered during validation testing

• Develop and implement fluid dynamics simulations using CFD software
• Analyse and interpret simulation results and provide recommendations to project teams
• Create and maintain simulation models and data sets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget
• High level of proficiency in multi-phase flow analysis, including but not limited to Particle phase, Eulerian Phase and Lagrangian phase model analysis.
• Perform validation and verification of simulation models against test data as necessary
• Ensure simulation problem definition, appropriateness, adequacy of simulation scope, correctness completeness of CFD analysis.

Preferred candidate profile

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have hands on experience in CFD simulations on pressure drop, flow analysis, porous media. Hands-on experience in projects involving Multiphase analysis.
• B.E. degree in Mechanical/Civil/Environmental engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years of experience in CFD simulation and analysis in water or wastewater equipment design.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to understand English, at advanced level, via written and verbal communication.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT, DECISION MAKING & PROBLEM SOLVING:

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Computer Skills:

  Proficiency in ANSYS Fluent, CFX, OpenFOAM or similar, Autodesk Inventor, 3D modeling software; Word, Excel, and other MS Office programs.
