Cfd Engineer

Job Summary

Working closely with the MNC Engineering teams. Support the growth and profitability objectives of the company by providing solutions and guidance to the Product Development teams that require a detailed understanding of the complex intersections of all engineering physics and dimensional variations in the components involved in the product of interest. This is achieved by utilizing mathematical modelling, analysis and computer simulation of the products systems, technical report presentations, and rerunning what-if” and product optimization scenarios. The scope of the activities ranges from new order acquisition, concept, development, prototype, and launch phase.

The position is intended to deliver improvement in product development cycle time, product quality attainment at launch, product/process cost, and product reliability.

Essential Job

Performs Electronics Thermal Analysis and CFD Analysis using Ansys ICEPAK, ICEM, FLUENT, CFX

Responsible for working with offshore and global teams to understand project scope.

Responsible for carrying out CFD analysis.

Review technical presentations, interpret the results and present the same to Customer.
Expertise in dealing with Design and Technical Discipline reviews. Responsible for ensuring 100% quality and on-time delivery.

Responsible for providing alternative solutions and process improvements.

Perform Design Modifications as per need and validating the same with Thermal Analysis or CFD Simulation.

Communication

Good communication skills in oral and written English to be able to participate in design reviews, project meetings, and other activities working with the teams in the US.

Education:

B.E. Mech or Equivalent Required

M.E Fluid Dynamics or Thermal Engineering or Equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience working with US Automotive or Aerospace Industry Preferred.
• Expertise in CFD software and data processing tools.
• Experience in

  Ansys ICEPAK, FLUENT, ICEM, CFX, Spaceclaim

  or any other equivalent software is desirable.
• Should have experience with electronics thermal analysis and providing cooling solutions.
• Capable to solve both steady state and transient thermal models of a Gerotor and other pumps partially immersed in the fluid.
• Capable to perform thermal analysis on shifter components like LED backlit components, to ensure temperatures are not undesirable.
• Capable to perform Fluent solves to help understand pressures, flow rates, and leak paths (closed and open systems).
• Should have a sound knowledge of Fluid Dynamics.
• Should have experience of cleaning up geometry in Spaceclaim.
• Experience with Ansys workbench structural analysis skillset is considered as added advantage.
• . Experience with assemblies, specifically those with nonlinear plastics and hyperelastic materials is desirable.
• Experience with Ansys Maxwell Electromagnetic Simulation is added advantage.
• Drawing conclusions from analyses performed and writing formal reports, preparing, and presenting analyses performed and Performing failure analyses and problem resolutions.
