Position: Practitioner / Specialist Theme: Income Prosperity Current Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh Duration: Practitioner 3 years contract subject to renewal based on performance Specialist 1 year consultancy subject to renewal based on performance In this role, your responsibilities, while indicative and not exhaustive, encompass: Coordination with our blocks and district peers, to influence policies as well as collaborate in building alliances between regional actors that support TRI objectives and action Develop and advocate for public polices aiming for pushing TRI s Farm Prosperity strategy free commodity supply chain, regenerative agriculture, low carbon agriculture, agri-nutrition, gender integration, income enhancement and other conservation strategies in the agriculture sector Constantly interact with policymakers and implementers exchanging information and supporting decision making with scientific- based and accurate data Monitor government initiatives, public policies, public financing mechanism for agriculture, as well as law propositions in state and national level, including but not limited to the Ministry of Agriculture and other departments that can work together for advancements in agriculture Foster, build relationships and interact with other organizations on issues and opportunities around the agricultural agenda Map, influence, and aggregate stakeholders for a positive agenda related to objectives of TRI as well as the government and synergies at the state level Support the State Government for developing public policies, guidelines, evaluation of information, and contribute to influence, adapt/change circumstances Preparation of detailed annual action plan ( ) and regular tracking, (In sync with various livelihood activities as per SRLM Livelihood Annual Action plan, Agriculture and other line departments) Documentation of best practices, report writing and developing presentations Job Overview Post-graduate Degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Forest Management, or any other closely related field Atleast 7-8 years of work experience in livelihoods with community collectives are eligible for Practitioner. Those with 2-3 years of relevant experience can apply for the Specialist position Proven ability of leading/mentoring team of professionals working in rural space Direct experience of promoting and working with SHGs/CIGs and their federations Experience of working with Producers groups and collectives for value chain development in commodities and enterprises Experience in developing and implementation of Training and capacity building programs for farm and non farm related activities Experience of working with SRLMs, reputed NGOs, Bilateral/Multilateral organizations is desirable Language: Sound knowledge of written and spoken Hindi and English Willingness to stay and travel in rural areas Qualification & Experience: We welcome you to join TRIs growing network of practitioners and experts.
