Simply Kids (a division of Omakase Enterprises LLP- www.simplykids.in) is a growing early-stage startup in the kids’ personal care space. We are looking for a dedicated enthusiast with a knack for understanding

the startup universe. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with 6–12 months of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable editing engaging content for digital platforms, adding simple motion graphics, and applying basic SFX/VFX to enhance storytelling.

Key Roles & Responsibility:Video Editing – Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos tailored for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, andwebsites.BasicMotion Graphics – Add text overlays, titles, lower-thirds, and transitions to improve video appeal.SoundEditing & SFX – Sync audio with visuals, clean background noise, balance sound levels, and add simple sound effects where needed.ColorCorrection & Grading – Maintain visual consistency across projects with basic correction and apply grading for the right mood.BasicVFX – Perform simple tasks like green screen (chroma keying), logo reveals, overlays, or removing unwanted visual elements.Content Repurposing – Adapt long-form content (interviews, webinars, product demos) into engaging short-form formats.BrandConsistency – Ensure all edits align with the company’s brand tone, style, and guidelines.Creative Collaboration – Work closely with the content and marketing team to brainstorm ideas, suggest improvements, and contribute to storyboarding.File& Asset Management – Organize project files, raw footage, and exports systematically for easy access.Deadline Management & Learning – Deliver edits on time while staying updated with editing trends, platform formats, and new tools.Key Requirements:Proficiency in Video Editing Software (no 1 must have & remaining at least one of the following):Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After EffectsFinal Cut ProDaVinci ResolveFilmora (basic edits)Knowledge of Motion Graphics / VFX Tools (basic level):Adobe After Effects (text animations, transitions, overlays)Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator (assets, thumbnails, static designs)Audio Editing Skills:Adobe Audition or Audacity (sound cleanup and enhancement)Familiarity with AI-Powered Editing Tools (good-to-have):Runway ML (background removal, quick VFX, masking)Descript (AI-based audio/video editing, transcription)Pictory / InVideo / VEED.io (AI-assisted content creation & short edits)CapCut (templates & AI tools for short-form content)Familiarity withCanva, Adobe Express, and AI creative toolsOther Skills:Understanding of video formats, compression, and export settings for social platformsAbility to work on tight deadlines while maintaining qualityCreative eye for storytelling, pacing, and detailPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certification in Film Studies, Media, Communication, Animation, or related field (not mandatory if portfolio is strong).Prior internship, freelance, or in-house editing experience with demonstrable projects.A portfolio or showreel showcasing editing style, motion graphics, and short-form content (mandatory for application).Familiarity with social media trends, storytelling formats, and platform-specific requirements (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, etc.).Basic understanding of camera formats, lighting, and shooting principles to better collaborate with production teams.Enthusiasm for learning new tools, including AI-powered editing platforms, to stay ahead of industry trends.Learning & Perks:Work on exciting projects that get real audience attention.Gain hands-on experience with top editing and AI tools.Be part of a creative team where your ideas count.Apply NowCheers!Team Simply Kids
