About the Project:

Policies of Thought, a non-conventional think tank and advisory body, aims to bring about significant change through in-depth research and evidence-based analysis.

At the core, we are a diverse team of policy specialists, legal scholars, data analysts and content creators, pooling our knowledge to delve beyond the surface of policies where we consider not only the immediate implications but also the broader societal and systemic effects of a policy.

PoT operates independently and freely from any partisan influences as we steadfastly uphold the principles of the public interest.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Video Editor to join our team at Pixelvide. The ideal candidate is a driven individual with a passion for curating video content, both short and long-form. In this role, you will be a vital part of our mission to bring meaningful change through the "Policies of Thought" project.

Key Responsibilities:

● Edit short and long-form video content for "Policies of Thought," a non-conventional think tank and advisory body. This would include curating reels, short videos for the website, and long-form cinematographic films for specific policy topics.

● Collaborate with our team to develop video concepts, create storyboards, and craft scripts that effectively convey complex policy issues in a visually engaging manner.

● Create engaging visual narratives that delve into the societal and systemic effects of policies.

● Maintain high-quality standards for video production, ensuring content is informative and captivating.

● Work independently and in partnership with the Pixelvide team to contribute to our goal of pioneering social change through good governance policies.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

● Relevant Bachelor's degree.

● Proven experience in video editing and content curation.

● Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut).

● Strong creative and storytelling skills.

● Proficiency in video editing software and tools.

● Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

● Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
