Job Summary:
The Video Editor at Lowe s is responsible for creating polished and engaging video content by assembling, editing, and enhancing raw footage. This role involves collaborating with creative teams to align video outputs with project goals and storytelling objectives. The Video Editor ensures seamless transitions, sound synchronization, and the application of visual effects, color grading, and graphics to produce high-quality videos. They manage tight deadlines, maintain brand consistency, and optimize content for various platforms, contributing to impactful visual storytelling.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into high-quality videos, ensuring smooth transitions, clear storytelling, and professional pacing.
- Collaborate with creative teams to align video content with project goals, brand guidelines, and audience expectations.
- Add visual elements such as motion graphics, text overlays, and effects to enhance video quality and engagement.
- Synchronize audio, including voiceovers, sound effects, and background music, to complement the visual narrative.
- Perform color grading and correction to achieve desired aesthetics and maintain visual consistency.
- Organize and manage video assets, ensuring proper storage, versioning, and accessibility.
- Optimize videos for various platforms, including social media, websites, and presentations, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve editing quality and efficiency.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality outputs.
- Provide creative input and contribute ideas to enhance the visual storytelling of projects.
Years of Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in Video editing field
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Multimedia, Film Production, Media Studies, Communication, Design, or a related field.
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
Key Skills: Video Editing, Organic Video Edits, Social Media Editing, Adobe Premiere Pro, After effects, Adobe Suite
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools like Adobe After Effects.
- Skills in audio editing, synchronization, and sound design.
- Expertise in color grading and correction to achieve professional visual quality.
- Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and resolutions for different platforms.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creativity and a keen eye for visual aesthetics and design.
Secondary Skills (desired)
- Familiarity with Mac OS.
- Basic knowledge of Animation
- Presentation software.
- Experience working with US stakeholders.
