ColdFusion , a well-established edutainment YouTube channel with around 5 million subscribers, is on the hunt for a Video Editor to join their team and help create documentary-style videos! We're helping them fill this position. If you're passionate about unraveling complex subjects in technology, business, and science through engaging storytelling and have a keen eye for detail, this is the right role for you. The role ColdFusion creates documentary-style content dedicated to making complex subjects accessible and engaging for millions of viewers. Their videos share similarities with high production value channels like Lemmino, Vox, and Fern. Your job? Edit and piece together 10-30 minute documentary-style YouTube videos that tell impactful stories about the best (and sometimes worst) of humanity. You'll create around 2 videos per month that directly touch the lives of millions of viewers. Here's what you'll be working on Editing 10-30 minute documentary-style YouTube videos on a regular basis (around 2 videos per month) Collaborating with the content development team to ensure alignment with storytelling strategy Evaluating and selecting scenes for dramatic pacing and storytelling sequencing Implementing graphics and effects to enhance the viewing experience Presenting final edits for approval and making revisions based on feedback Staying updated on latest trends and techniques for video editing and storytelling Being proactive in solving technical issues in post-production Our ideal candidate will: Have proven experience as a video editor, preferably creating documentary-style content for YouTube Be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (essential) and After Effects (welcomed but not required) Present a strong portfolio showcasing creativity and editing skills Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting Be able to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple tasks Have knowledge and passion for tech, business, and science (viewed favorably) Be familiar with and able to contribute to the style seen in channels like Lemmino, Vox, and Fern Watch YouTube regularly and stay current with trends Why join ColdFusion: Be part of a team that sees YouTube videos at the forefront of educating the masses through stories that shape humanity.
