Vice President of Engineering

You are urgently looking for a full-time resource to join SimplifyVMS, a next-generation Vendor Management System (VMS) and Contingent Workforce Management Platform designed for global enterprises and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). SimplifyVMS's cloud-native SaaS platform helps organizations manage contingent labor, SOW engagements, and service procurement with agility, compliance, and intelligence. The company has customers across North America, EMEA, and APAC, and is focused on building a scalable, secure, and globally compliant platform that supports multi-region data storage, GDPR compliance, multi-currency transactions, and localization across multiple hierarchies and organizational levels. As the VP of Engineering at SimplifyVMS, you will lead all aspects of software engineering and platform architecture, overseeing product development, data architecture, scalability, and technology excellence. You will guide a distributed engineering team to deliver high-performing, secure, and compliant global SaaS products, while ensuring collaboration with Product Management, Customer Success, and Operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Defining and owning the technical vision and roadmap for the SimplifyVMS platform - Leading architectural modernization efforts including containerization, microservices adoption, and API-first design - Overseeing multi-region data residency, GDPR compliance, and data partitioning strategies - Establishing engineering excellence frameworks and ensuring on-time and high-quality releases - Driving data architecture design, reporting, and analytics capabilities - Managing multi-region deployments, cloud infrastructure strategy, and disaster recovery - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology with customer outcomes Required skills and qualifications: - 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a senior engineering leadership role - Deep hands-on experience in PHP, Laravel, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and modern web application architectures - Expertise in microservices, containerization, multi-tenant architectures, and API-first integration frameworks - Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build and mentor large engineering teams - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Preferred experience: - Prior experience in HR Tech, Procurement Tech, or Workforce Management platforms - Exposure to AI/ML integration, SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance, and secure data handling practices - Thought leadership in modern PHP/Laravel architectures and technical publications Join SimplifyVMS to lead technology innovation, architect a modern enterprise platform, mentor a world-class engineering team, and benefit from competitive executive compensation and performance incentives.,
